DENVER -- El Paso County authorities are investigating about a dozen cases of possible voter-registration fraud.

County Clerk and Recorder Bob Balink said the cases involve registration forms submitted to his office with false information, such as incorrect driver's license numbers.

"The fraud is absolutely widespread," he told the Colorado Springs Gazette.

Investigators for the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office are also participating in the inquiry.
