6-Year-Old Struck By Car, Killed

Sheridan Police Investigating

A 6-year-old girl who darted between two parked cars on to the street was struck and killed Thursday afternoon, Sheridan police said.

The driver of a maroon car was southbound on South Bryant Street, approaching West Girard Avenue, when the child ran out and was hit, investigators said.

The girl was transported to Swedish Medical Center where she died as a result of her injuries.

The Colorado State Patrol and the Sheridan Police Department are currently investigating the accident, which occurred just before 4:30 p.m.
