2 Fort Carson Soldiers Arrested In Double Homicide

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Colorado Springs police said Wednesday they have arrested two Fort Carson soldiers suspected in a June double homicide.Jomar Dionisio Falu-Vives, 24, and Rudolfo Torres-Gandarilla, 20, were taken into custody on Wednesday. Police say they are suspected of killing 18-year-old Amairany Cervantes and 21-year-old Cesar Javier Ramirez while the victims were hanging garage sale signs at an intersection on June 6.Falu-Vives faces a first-degree murder charge, and Torres-Gandarilla faces a charge of accessory to first-degree murder. Police said both were already in custody on accusations that they shot and wounded another soldier, 25-year-old Zachary Szody, while he walked on a street in Colorado Springs.
Police said that both Falu-Vives and Torres-Gandarilla are active Army soldiers stationed at Fort Carson. Szody was also stationed at Fort Carson.
