New Product Claims Year-Round Gardening

Testing Out Aero Garden

Aeroponics is a scientific method of growing plants and produce without soil.

A Boulder company has designed a product that uses this technology, making it possible to garden in your home year-round.

Customers purchase a system and preseeded pods. Those pods are exposed to grow lights and as the plant matures, the roots are suspended in air, then grow down to the nutrient solution.

Aero Garden said the system is totally automated and everything from flowers to herb, strawberries to tomatoes will grow in your home during any season.

Katie Strickland tested out the product for 7News. She found it easy to use, but a bit noisy. She suggested keeping the system away from bedrooms.
