Teacher's Aide Sentenced For Internet Luring

Frank Pierce Given Probation With Intense Supervision

POSTED: 12:51 pm MDT August 8, 2008

A teacher's aide at a Jefferson County elementary school, was sentenced Thursday to three years sex offender intensive supervision probation.

Frank Lee Pierce, 31, will also be required to register as a sex offender.

Jefferson County District Attorney investigators arrested the Golden man in November 2007 following an undercover investigation in which Pierce used sexually explicit language online to someone he believed to be an underage teen, but who was actually an undercover DA investigator.

Pierce met the person he believed was a young teen in a chat room frequented by kids. He used sexually graphic language describing what he wanted to do with the person he believed to be a young teen. He also suggested and discussed their meeting for the purposes of sexual contact.

On May 20, Pierce pled guilty to one count of Internet Luring of a Child, a class four felony.

Pierce was a teacher's aide at Stober Elementary School in Lakewood, Colo. He was also a girls' basketball coach in a youth recreation league.
