Two hikers, missing since they reported overdue Sunday afternoon, were found uninjured on Monday morning.

The hikers were identified as Patrick Nelson, 21, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and Sean Klomparens, 20, of Rockville, MD.

The two men were reported overdue late Sunday after they failed to return from a hike in the 4th of July Pass area, northwest of Eldora.

Their car was found in the Buckingham Campground area and a hasty search was conducted at 11 p.m., Sunday, just to make sure they weren't somewhere along the trail.

The pair was found near Goose Lake in the City of Boulder watershed, northeast of South Arapahoe Peak at about 8:40 a.m. The men reported that they had gotten lost and were off their planned route.

The search involved several volunteer fire departments, the Rocky Mountain Rescue group, Front Range Rescue dogs, a helicopter from Flight for Life, and the Boulder County Sheriff's Department.
