Aurora police are offering a $1,000 reward for information that could help them identify a man who stalked a 20-year-old woman, jumped her, dragged her behind a business and then tried to rape her.

The woman fought off the attacker and he ran off.

The attack occurred midday on June 13, but on Wednesday, police released a composite sketch of him, hoping someone in the public would be able to identify him.

He is a white man between 25 and 30, with numerous tattoos on his face and body, police said. He has the tattoo of a heart under in his right eye, a crescent moon shape around his left eye and a ribbon design on his neck, the victim told police. He has short, light brown hair and is close to 6 feet tall. He weighs approximately 170 pounds, police said.

Detectives began working several promising leads during the beginning of the investigation, but those early leads have not resulted in an arrest, Aurora police detective Bob Friel said.

Police believe on the day of the attack, he was watching the victim while she was in the area of Sable Boulevard and East Alameda Parkway. He followed her to a parking lot at Mississippi Avenue and Abilene Street and then dragged her behind a business.

Friel said detectives do not believe this case is connected to any other cases in the Denver Metro area.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact the Aurora Police Tip Line at (303) 739 – 6118.
