GREELEY, Colo. -- Police launched a homicide investigation after the body of a young man was discovered inside a Greeley apartment Thursday. Officers responded to the two-story apartment building, in the 2000 block of 4th Avenue, about 3 p.m. and found the body. Police said it appeared the man may have been dead for several hours before the body was discovered. The man's identity has not been released, nor has the cause of death.
As police investigated, the man's mother and several family members were seen crying outside the apartment. Weld County Coroner Maria Vincent said an autopsy was scheduled for Friday morning.
