COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A Fort Carson soldier and his wife have been arrested in a four-month investigation into child porn.The Colorado Springs Police Department's Internet Crimes Against Children Unit began the investigation after receiving a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.Charles Brassfield was arrested Wednesday afternoon on suspicion of distributing sexually exploitative images and video of children. He was taken into custody by investigators with the U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Division at Fort Carson.
The Colorado Springs police Internet crimes unit also worked with the New Jersey Internet Crimes Against Children unit to develop information in a case that sexually exploitative images and video of children were being distributed via the Internet to persons inside and outside of Colorado.Investigators also determined that Jocelyn Brassfield may have been involved. She was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory to the crime by the fugitive unit of the Colorado Springs Police Department.
