A software company founder from Boulder, Colo., has gone missing in his new home state of Hawaii.

Steven Thomas was last seen June 30 in Waikiki. According to published reports in Hawaii, family members are very concerned because Thomas suffers from bipolar disorder.

Thomas and his wife, Candis, moved from Boulder to Hawaii In November 2007. Thomas founded the anti-spyware software company, Webroot, in 1997.

He was last seen at about 5 p.m. at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel in Waikiki. He was staying there with his mom and cousin.

This April he was diagnosed with a bipolar disorder. His wife said bizarre behavior came out of nowhere. (See video of wife asking for help).

"The last time I saw him on Thursday, he was having major panic attacks. He was very agitated, aggressive. He was very paranoid. He thinks everyone on the island is out to get him," Candis Thomas said.

The couple was planning to move back to Colorado in April, but Steven got arrested.

"He went out on the street naked, screaming and that's when police became involved," she said.

She said recent financial problems have made him extra anxious.

"I'm pretty much beside myself beyond desperate. I was desperate three days ago," Candis Thomas told HawaiiChannel.com.

Fliers with Steven's picture are posted around the community. Family members have searched parks and beaches.
