Scott Kimball Search Story

searchers are back out in a remote colorado area today.. with a grim job. they're looking for evidence and remains of kaysi mcleod. ..the step-daughter of a man suspected in the disappearance of several people. the search is going on in jackson county near walden. specifically near hyannis peak and county road 11.

"Well, we're looking for any evidence related to a crime which may have occurred up here.

"We've been talking to the Forest Service and the sheriff's office and doing flyovers and watching snow levels. And we're glad to be up here getting it done.

"You know, you deal with the sensitivity of the sensitivity of -- potentially -- multiple victims and their families and the emotions that go with missing people. So we're really glad that we're at this point and working at putting evidence together.

As one person We're in Jackson County area of Routt National Forest where a search started Monday where family members have confirmed the remains of Kaysi McLeod were found by hunters last September. The FBI had to wait for snow to melt to search the area more extensively. They expect to be back in the remote area, known as Dennis Hump, at least through Wednesday.

42 Scott Kimball is believed to be the last person to see McLeod. He has not been charged with her murder or any of the three other missing persons cases where his name has come up. Kimball is in Colorado jail awaiting sentencing on a parole violation. SCOTT KIMBALL WILL BE SENTENCED ON A PAROLE VIOLATION IN LATE SEPTEMBER. IT'S BELIEVED HE COULD GET UP TO TEN YEARS ON THAT CHARGE ALONE
