An Army CH-47 Chinook helicopter is transporting supplies and personnel from Fort Carson to the training site.Air space over the area has been restricted. The Pinon canyon site is controversial because the Army wants to nearly triple the size of the site, to more than 1,000 square miles, citing growth and changing training needs.Commanders said they want to buy the land from willing sellers.Neighbors said they do not want to sell and are concerned they will be forced to sell.
