GREELEY, Colo -- The owner of a Greeley dairy farm leveled by Thursday’s tornado said he will not rebuild. The damage he said Friday was just too great. The Brown Cow Dairy has been a fixture on the west side of town for three decades. In fact it was 31 years ago Saturday that the owner’s milked their first cow.Rick Hertzke told 7NEWS that he now has an, “empty feeling.”
He said he was gratified that no one was seriously injured and appreciated the enormous support he received from friends and neighbors. Most of the 400 cows and calves survived the storm and have been relocated to a dairy in Fort Lupton.
