Police Release Sketch Of Man Who Kidnapped, Assaulted Teen

Authorities in Weld County are hoping someone recognizes the sketch of a man who kidnapped a 16-year-old girl in the parking lot of a Fort Lupton bar and then sexually assaulted her over the weekend.

The teen said she was dropped off at the La Maravilla bar at 1 a.m. Saturday to meet a friend. While waiting, a Hispanic man approached her and forced her into a vehicle, she said.

He drove away, pulled out a knife and then sexually assaulted her inside the vehicle. After the assault, the man dropped her off at the same parking lot.

The man who abducted her has the letters "A L E X" tattooed on his left hand, she said.

He was wearing jeans and a sweater and was driving a black or dark-colored four-door sport utility vehicle, possibly a Ford Expedition.
