DENVER -- A man who pleaded guilty to pulling a gun and threatening a member of his band was sentenced to three years probation Tuesday.Alvaro Alvarado-Amarias was the leader of a poplar mariachi band called Leonardo Berrelleza.He had pleaded guilty to assaulting a band member earlier in January after learning he was quitting the band, said spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough of the Denver District Attorney's Office.
Alvarado-Amarias was given a three-year prison term that was suspended if he successfully completes three years on probation including substance abuse treatment and anger management, Kimbrough said.
