Woman Moves, 30 Cats Left Behind

Cats Have Roamed Neighborhood For Year

A woman living in Grand Junction moved out of her home a year ago, but didn't take her cats with her, according to KJCT-TV in Grand Junction.

Rudy Nailor told the TV station the cats are tearing his property apart.

There are abut 30 cats roaming the neighborhood.

Animal control officials told KJCT they can't just pick up cats like they can with dogs, especially if the cats have been abandoned for several months. Animal control is concerned that someone has likely been feeding them, making pets out of the cats.
