Woman's Body Found Near Drainage Ditch

ORCHARD MESA, Colo. -- The Mesa County Sheriff's Office said the body of a woman has been found in shallow water near a drainage ditch in Orchard Mesa, south of Grand Junction. Sheriff's deputies responded to a report of a body found at 6:30 a.m. Saturday.
Authorities said it appears the death was an accident but the coroner's office will determine how the woman died.
