Republican presidential candidate John McCain plans to hold a town hall meeting on health care in Denver on Friday.

Workers with McCain's Denver campaign told 7NEWS the general public is welcome, but seating and parking are limited.

The event will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Jewish Community Center at 350 S. Dahlia Street.

Officials said people interested in attending the event need to call the McCain campaign at 303-830-6707. The campaign is encouraging health care professionals to attend.

The Associated Press reported that McCain will lay out his health care policies in a speech Tuesday in Tampa, Fla., then travel to Denver to discuss his health care plans on Friday morning.

McCain was in Denver in March with former rival Mitt Romney. He attended a fundraiser at the Denver Athletic Club.

McCain made a quick stop at Centennial Airport last November, where he was endorsed by Colorado's former Lt. Gov. Jane Norton. And he visited Denver a year ago for a fundraiser at the Brown Palace Hotel.
