POSTED: 10:25 a.m. MDT August 6, 2002

A 71-year-old woman was one of six people arrested recently in an undercover drug bust in Del Norte, Colo.

Police Chief Jeff Sailee confirmed Monday that the arrests Friday were result of a two-year undercover investigation into alleged cocaine trafficking in the area.

Among those arrested on charges of unlawful sale of cocaine was Stella Louise Martinez, 71 and her 45-year-old daughter, Isabelle Martinez,, Sailee said.

They were being held in lieu of $50,000 bond.

"Quantities of suspected marijuana, cocaine and other drugs and drug paraphernalia were seized. Social Services was contacted to provide child care for four minor children found at some arrest locations," Sailee told the Pueblo Chieftain.
