DENVER -- The principal of Fraser Valley Elementary School was identified Tuesday as the victim of a two-vehicle accident on U.S. Highway 40 near Tabernash.

The Colorado State Patrol said that Reba Ferguson died Tuesday morning when her vehicle collided with another vehicle on the highway.

Ferguson was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The other driver was airlifted to St. Anthony's Central Hospital in Denver. His identity and condition was not released.

Further details about the crash were not immediately available.

Ferguson had been principal of Fraser Valley, part of the East Grand School District 2, for the past seven years.
