Woman Says Boyfriend Tried To Light Her On Fire

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A man is behind bars after police said he poured camping fuel on his girlfriend and threatened to light her on fire.The woman, Sonja Kirchner, said she was fighting with her boyfriend at the time, reported KRDO.Police said, the boyfriend, Edmund Cheesman, allegedly forced open the door to Kirchner's residence and then started pouring camping fuel on her.
Cheesman was arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree burglary and assault.
