Woman Found With Dead Dog At Wendy's

Police: Woman Thought Dog Would Come Back To Life

POSTED: 11:56 am MDT March 12, 2008

An Aurora woman was arrested Monday after police said she locked herself in a bathroom with a dead dog at a Boulder Wendy's and refused to come out.

Police said the Wendy Louise Washum was crying and employees reported smelling a foul odor coming from the locked bathroom.

When officers persuaded the woman to unlock the door, they found the decaying dog in a duffel bag.

Washum told police the dog had been dead for about a week. She told police she thought the dog would come back to life in 13 days.

The 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at the Wendy's, located at 1965 28th St.
