Woman Charged With Stabbing Elderly Roommate

DENVER -- A 20-year-old woman is accused of repeatedly stabbing an elderly man inside the home she shared with him.Jennifer Stroth was charged Tuesday with first-degree assault against an at-risk victim, two counts of second-degree assault against an at-risk victim, and menacing. All are felonies.The 72-year-old victim was seriously injured after he was attacked twice inside the home near 49th Avenue and Raleigh Street, the Denver district attorney said.
The charges allege that Stroth attacked him on Feb. 1 and on Feb. 16. She was arrested on Feb. 17 in Loveland and is currently being held in custody in the Larimer County Jail. Her next Denver court date has not yet been determined.
