Simple Apple Pie
This simple recipe from my grandmother's cookbook is highly adaptable and
great in a pre-made crust.
Pile a pastry-lined pie pan high with thinly sliced apples. Sprinkle
generously with a sugar and flour mixture to taste (1 cup sugar to 1 TBS.
flour).
Dot with plenty of butter, cover with a top crust or lattice pastry
strips and bake in a hot 425 degree oven about 45 minutes or until apples
are tender. If desired, omit the top crust, and cover pie with marshmallows
after apples are tender and brown in a slow oven.
