UPDATED: 1:59 pm MST February 16, 2008

Boulder police are investigating a report of a police impersonator.

Around 3 a.m. Saturday, two women were pulled over in the 1100 block of Spruce Street by a man driving a white Ford Crown Victoria with flashing blue lights. The man is described as a white male dressed in plain clothes.

After he pulled the women's vehicle over, the police impersonator asked the driver to exit the vehicle and perform a series of sobriety tests, said Sarah Huntley, Boulder police spokeswoman.

Boulder police are asking anyone with information to call Boulder County Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).

7NEWS reporter, Jane Slater, will be live from Boulder with the latest information.
