UPDATED: 5:50 pm MST January 26, 2008

Some parts of Colorado were rattled by an earthquake Friday night.

The earthquake at 8:49 p.m. Friday was a magnitude 3.1, which is near the lowest magnitude that can be felt by humans.

The epicenter was about 20 miles west of CaInon City.

Officials with the Colorado Geological Survey said no one reported feeling the quake.

"It's kind of small and whether you feel things or not depends exactly where you are, what kind of soil you have, where you are in the building, that sort of thing," said Vince Matthews, of the CGS.

No damage was reported either.
