Midyette Hearing Today On Tracking Device

BOULDER, Colo. -- A judge is expected to decide Tuesday whether a father accused of killing his young son should wear a GPS or other monitoring device to track his whereabouts prior to his trial.Prosecutors are concerned that Alex Midyette is a flight risk. His trial has been set for May 27Last week, he cashed a large check that paid for his wife's bond. She already has been convicted of child abuse in the death of their son in 2006. She is facing 16 to 48 years in prison at her sentencing hearing on Feb. 29.
Since she is in jail now, the court returned the $500,000 bond to her husband.
