ON ALERT FOR POSSIBLE EVACUATIONS

The following neighborhoods are highly encouraged to leave, but not ordered to evacuate.

That's because if the fire advances quickly toward a residential area, an emergency evacuation order may not allow enough time for people to leave in an orderly manner, especially given inevitable traffic congestion.

    PARK COUNTY
All areas of the Lake George community that are north of Highway 24 and west of the county line

    TELLER COUNTY
    Cedar Mountain Road
    Highland Lake
Area north of Highway 24 between Florissant and Divide
    Golden Bell subdivison
    Broken Wheel subdivision
    Aspen Village Subdivision

    DOUGLAS COUNTY
    Indian Creek
    Indian Creek Ranch
Jackson Creek east of forest boundary
    Madge Gulch
    Mountain Ranch
    Oak Valley and surrounding areas.
    Piano Meadows
    Rampart Highlands
    Roxborough Park
    Roxborough Village
South Platte River, Douglas County Side
    Sedalia
    Shamballah
    Y-Camp Road (campers only)
In theory, this could include a line of evacuation extending from Chatfield Reservoir on the north to Perry Park on the south, and everything west of U.S. Highway 85 and Highway 105.

    JEFFERSON COUNTY
Those living in the area from Highway 285 south on an east-west line to the Jeffco/Park and Jeffco/Douglas County borders are on standby to evacuate.
    Wanblee Valley
    Shaffer Crossing
    Richmond
    Switzerland Village
    Elk Creek Acres
    Green Valley Ranch
    Conifer Meadows
    Rampart Highlands

    HIGHWAYS CLOSED

The Hayman Fire has forced the closures of a number of highways in the area.

All points west of Highway 67 to the Jefferson and Douglas County line were closed.

In addition, Highway 67 was closed from West Creek to Sugar Creek and from Trumbull to Sugar Creek and east to the Rampart Range Road, including the Rampart Range Road.

Highway 126 was closed to all but local traffic from Pine Junction to Buffalo Creek and closed to everyone beyond that point.
