DENVER -- An autopsy for a 10-year-old girl who was shot in November revealed officers found the girl holding "a small bag of green, leafy material" in her left hand.

Denver police declined comment on whether the material was a marijuana, saying the case had been turned over to the district attorney's office. Denver District attorney spokeswoman Lynn Kimbrough did not immediately return a message.

Cisneros' family has denied any connection to drugs or gangs, although postings on Myspace.com Web pages maintained by her mother and father make references to both.

A cousin of Cisneros issued a statement condemning the report about a "green leafy substance."

The report also stated that gunmen fired through the front door and a kitchen window while those inside fired back during the shootout.

Auralia Cisneros was shot in the face and died in the living room of her family's west Denver apartment.

Three 19-year-old men were arrested in connection with the shooting.

Trivi Trujillo, Joshua Rojas and Juvencio Hernandez all face felony murder charges and are being held without bail.

Assistant Medical Examiner James Wahe wrote in his report that Cisneros was in the living room of her family's apartment and was "allegedly sitting on the couch with her father" when people started shooting through the front door and a kitchen window.

Wahe wrote that the manner of death was homicide. The report said the girl was struck in the right cheek by a bullet moving on an upward course that went through her brain and exited through her skull.
