Some holiday travelers received an unexpected flight to Denver early Sunday. Jet Blue flight #648 from San Francisco to New York was forced to land at Denver International Airport at about 5 a.m. after a man caused a disturbance on the flight.

According to a recorded statement from DIA spokesperson Chuck Cannon, the passenger was removed from the plane for questioning by both the FBI and Denver police.

Det. John White, spokesman for Denver police, told 7NEWS the disturbance occurred in the plane's restroom.  The man was taken to Denver Health for a medical evaluation and will not face charges.

The plane left Denver to continue its trek to New York shortly after 8 a.m.   It landed in New York about six hours later than originally scheduled.
