Gregory Kilcollins Was In Jail On Marijuana Charges

UPDATED: 7:41 pm MST December 17, 2007

Police are looking for a stolen Colorado Department of Transportation van that was taken Monday morning from a tire shop.

The white van was taken from 3855 E. 52nd Avenue and was reported sometime after 9 a.m. The van has two yellow lights on top and was attached to a green trailer.

Police said the van was carrying three jail inmates and a CDOT employee when one of the tires developed a leak. The CDOT employee drove the van to a tire repair shop and that's where it was stolen.

Police identified the suspect in the case as Gregory Kilcollins. He was in jail on marijuana charges and had been working with the highway crew for three weeks.

Police said he was in the running van alone when it was taken.

Anyone who sees the van or Kilcollins is asked to contact Denver police.
