Here is a time line of the Colorado church shootings in Arvada and Colorado Springs, based on police reports:SUNDAY12:30 a.m.: A gunman in his 20s kills two people and injures two others at the Youth With a Mission training center in Arvada, after being told he couldn't spend the night. Philip Crouse, 24, and Tiffany Johnson, 26, died, and Charlie Blanch, 22, and Dan Griebenow, 24, were injured.
1 p.m.: A gunman with a high-powered rifle kills two people and wounds three others after a service at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. The gunman died at the scene. Sisters Stephanie Works, 18, and Rachael Works, 16, were killed and their father, David Works, 51, was wounded. Also injured were Judy Purcell, 40, and Larry Bourbannais, 59.That afternoon: Police find several smoke-generating devices on the Colorado Springs church campus, possibly to be used to create a distraction.That night: Authorities say the attacks could be related.MONDAYMidnight - 5 a.m. Investigators search the Murray house in the Denver uburb for guns, ammunition and computers.4 p.m. Authorities identify the gunman as Matthew Murray, 24, of Englewood and conclusively link him to both shootings. Police say in court papers that Murray had been thrown out of the missionary training school a few years ago and had been sending it hate mail.5 p.m. Murray's family issues a statement in the evening asking for forgiveness on behalf of their son, and expressing grief for the victims and their families.
