Major Break In 10-Yr.-Old's Slaying

Denver police have arrested two men in connection with Auralia Cisneros' death.

Trivi Trujillo,19, and Joshua Rojas,19, are both charged with first-degree murder.

Cisneros was shot in the head Nov. 26th during a botched robbery attempt at her home in West Denver.

Police said there was an exchange of gunfire that night between her father, Leo Cisneros, and the two men.

Police said the case has been a priority for the department.

"Friday, Dec. 7th we were able to obtain a search warrant and were able to actually apprehend two individuals in connection with the tragic death of this 10-year-old," said Detective John White, of Denver police.

Police said the men are known gangsters but it is unclear what role that may have played in the shooting.

Last week, pictures posted on MySpace showed the young girl flashing gang signs with her mother and in another photo her father posed with a semi automatic weapon.

"We are unable to get into a lot of details about whether her father was involved in a gang or not," said White.

Neighbors said the arrests are a relief.

"I'm very glad to hear they caught somebody. Not only for the residents but also for the parents. Maybe now they can have some closure in all of this," said Renee Salas.

Police said Trujillo and Rojas are the only suspects in this case.
