ASPEN, Colo. -- A former Aspen High School drama teacher has pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography and faces up to 18 months in jail. Bradford Rice Moore was arrested year ago after investigators said they found images of young girls on his home computer. More than 110 of the still images depicted sexual acts with children, according to investigators. Moore had been charged with sexual exploitation of a child. He pleaded guilty last week to the pornography charge, and prosecutors agreed to drop the exploitation charge.
The plea agreement would require him to register as a sex offender and undergo psychological treatment. He will lose his teaching license.Moore had worked for the Aspen School District for 11 years as the theater manager and drama teacher at the high school and middle school before he resigned.He is the co-founder and president of Aspen Stage. He is also on the boards of both Aspen Community Theatre and the Colorado Community Theatre Coalition. Sentencing is scheduled for Feb. 4.Moore faces a maximum of 18 months in jail, with five years of supervised probation, and a fine of up to $5,000.
