A Nice Change in Temperature
Warmer Weather For Sunday
DENVER -- It's going to be a beautiful day with highs close to 50. The most recent storm continues to push east and leaves us with sunny skies and tempeatures near average.
After a series of Thanksgiving storms, the skies will finally clear. Look for lots of sunshine this weekend with warmer temperatures by Sunday.
Friday's storm left us under a sky of clouds with some light snow in the metro area. Some of the higher accumulations were in the southwestern mountains where anywhere from 5 to 10 inches of snow fell on Friday.
Here's a look at some of the 24-hour snowfall totals:
High pressure will return to the west, so our skies will remain clear through the weekend and our temperatures will gradually start to warm. We saw highs close to 40 on Saturday and we'll be near 50 on Sunday.
Sunday may be a great day to hit the slopes or put up your holiday decorations. A few more resorts opened for the Thanskgiving holiday and the roads up into the mountains will be dry this weekend.
The next storm doesn't move into our forecast until Wednesday. We'll see upper 40s for the first of the week with a drop in temps by Wednesday and a chance of snow.
