Jeffco Teacher's Aide Arrested In Internet Sex Sting

GOLDEN, Colo. -- A teacher's aide at a Lakewood, Colo., elementary school is under investigation for allegedly trying to lure a child over the Internet.Frank Lee Pierce, 30, is a paraprofessional at Stober Elementary School, according to an arrest affidavit filed by the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.According to the affidavit, Pierce engaged in a sexually explicit conversation with an undercover officer posing on the Internet as a 15-year-old girl.
The investigator said Pierce claimed to be 21 and described in detail what he would like to do to the person he thought was a teenager. He also sent several photographs, including one of a nude man, according to the affidavit.The two arranged to meet but investigators said Pierce never showed up.Pierce was arrested Tuesday and appeared in court Wednesday. He was advised he was being held for suspicion of Internet luring of a child, Internet sexual exploitation of a child, and promotion of obscenity to a minor.The district attorney has until Friday to file formal charges.Pierce has been placed on paid administrative leave.He is also is a girls basketball coach in a youth recreational league, according to The Denver Post.
