Denver Police Name Suspect In LoDo Nightclub Shooting
Chavez Wanted On First-Degree Murder Charge

DENVER -- Denver police have obtained an arrest warrant for a man suspected of shooting seven people who were leaving a downtown night club, killing one of them.Anthony Chavez, 25, is wanted on a first-degree murder charge. Police describe him as the primary suspect in the shootings early Sunday.Witnesses said a man fired several shots into a crowd as they gathered in front of the Hush nightclub at 15th and Market streets. Initial reports were that eight people were shot, but police said Tuesday there were seven overall victims. One person died, four were hospitalized, and two were treated and released.
Friends say 25-year-old Ted Padilla was the man who was killed. Witness Dale Sasse has said that earlier at the club, a group had made comments to Padilla about his jewelry, and the club's management kicked that group out.Anyone who knows where Chavez is is asked to call 911 or call Crime Stoppers (720) 913-STOP (7867). Chavez is believed to be armed and dangerous, police said.He is about 5 feet 9 inches tall, 195 pounds, with spiked brown hair and brown eyes.The shooting killed Padilla,
