DENVER -- The Colorado Rockies, struggling to stay in contention in the World Series, will take any help they can get. And if the Mile High elevation isn't enough, the tallest building in Denver will be backlit in purple Saturday night when the Rockies host the Boston Red Sox, trailing two games to none. The 714-foot-high Republic Plaza will be visible for miles.
Not only will it sport the Rockies' colors, the top 20 stories will display the lighted letters "C" and "R."By the way, the tallest building in Boston is a few feet taller than Republic Plaza. It's the 790-foot John Hancock Tower.
