Lafayette Slaying Suspect May Plea Bargain

Hearing Postponed While Negotiations Continue

POSTED: 10:28 am MDT October 19, 2007

A hearing for a teenager accused in the stabbing death of his girlfriend's mother has been delayed amid negotiations on a possible plea agreement.

Bryan Grove, 18, faces charges of first-degree murder, conspiracy and evidence-tampering in the death of Linda Damm.

He was scheduled to appear in court Friday morning but the hearing was delayed until next Thursday.

Police said that Damm was stabbed and strangled and her body was left in the back of her car at her Lafayette home for weeks. The body was found by police on Feb. 28.

Sixteen-year-old Tess Damm has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge. She is Linda Damm's daughter and Grove's girlfriend.
