Fire Blazing Near Monument
Unconfirmed Reports Of One Structure Damaged

DENVER -- Crews were en route Saturday afternoon to a fire burning north of Colorado Springs in the Monument area.
El Paso County Sheriff spokesman Jim Groth says the details are sketchy at this point, but he believes a house may be involved. Fire officials have called up four air tankers.
Groth said the fire is three miles west of I-25, just south of Monument along Baptist Road.
Groth says he does not yet know the size of the fire.
