Students at the University of Colorado's chapter of Black Student Alliance are planning a walkout Monday to protest the treatment of blacks in the so-called Jena 6 case.

The walkout is in conjunction with the National Walk-Out Movement created by rapper, Mos Def, and is part of a national effort to highlight the treatment of six black teenagers in the Louisiana town of Jena, which many black leaders call racist.

Jarvis Fuller, an active member of the Black Student Alliance, said he is hopeful that students will stand up and take notice.

"Inequality still persists," said Fuller. "And Jena 6 is clear evidence of that."
