COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Deborah Nicholls was the “mastermind” in the arson in which her three children died, according to prosecutors’ filings in a case involving her alleged drug dealer, the Colorado Springs Gazette reported Sunday.

The accusation against Nicholls, whose estranged husband, Timothy Nicholls, is serving three life sentences for setting the fire in 2003 at the couple’s Village Seven home, was made in a perjury case coming up for trial in October.
