GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- "Giggles the Clown" was in court Wednesday over charges of sexually exploiting children on the Internet.

Antonio Lazcano, 29, was arrested last May in Grand Junction after a woman in Rocky Ford, Colo., told law enforcement authorities that she found a photo of a naked man on her daughter's e-mail account.

The mother then went online and pretended to be her daughter. She chatted with a man under police supervision and told him that she was 12.

According to an arrest affidavit, the person chatting with her replied, "That's OK. I dated a 16 and 14-year-old girl." He had used the screen name "Tony805."

Police said the man sent her Web camera images of him committing sex acts in front of the camera and then made arrangements with her for sex.

Authorities said they traced the IM account to Lazcano in Grand Junction.

Lazcano was arrested on charges of Internet sexual exploitation of a child, Internet luring of a child, enticement and obscenity.

On Wednesday, Lazcano was due to enter a plea in the case, but a continuance was filed after his attorneys asked for more time to review the case. His next court appearance was set for late October.

If Lazcano accepts an a plea bargain, the more serious charges against him will be dropped, and he won't have to register as a sex offender.
