Joseph Roberts Also Charged With Resisting Arrest

DENVER -- A suspect accused of punching an 18-month-old girl in the face and sexually assaulting her mother is behind bars, facing charges of sexual assault and child abuse.Police said Joseph Roberts, 30, also assaulted a police officer while resisting arrest.Investigators said the incident occurred on Sunday, while Roberts was fighting with his 26-year-old girlfriend.
Roberts remains in custody in the Denver County Jail. His bond is set at $50,000.
