DENVER, Colo. -- As the investigation moves forward into the death of a 3-year-old Denver girl, the community pauses to pay tribute. Two makeshift memorials now stand near the ravine where police found the body of Neveah Gallegos Monday afternoon.A steady stream of people stopped to pray or to cry throughout the day Tuesday.
A church near where the Gallegos body was found plans to hold a candlelight vigil Wednesday night around 7 p.m."It's just hard to believe someone would throw her away like trash. It's just hard," said one visitor to the makeshift memorials.Meanwhile, police say they will present the case to the district attorney's office in the next day or two -- after they receive the preliminary autopsy results.
