The Mesa County Sheriff's Department said the meeting would be held April 16 at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Church, 24 Road and Interstate 70 in Grand Junction, Colo.

The sheriff's department would like all volunteers in the search effort to attend the meeting. A panel of individuals from the Laura Recovery Center Foundation and the Mesa County Sheriff's Office will be available to answer questions.

The Abby and Jennifer Recovery Center said that it has received over 700 calls from people wanting to volunteer.

Search teams will be sent out starting the morning of April 17, 2002. The Recovery Center will be physically located at the Fellowship Church.

The sheriff's office said that other efforts to locate the Blaggs could begin immediately. Investigators encouraged private landowners to search their properties thoroughly, particularly places were remains could be hidden such as ditch lines, gullies, ravines, and brushy areas. Outdoor enthusiasts were also strongly encouraged to search likely areas around their activity such as the above ditches, gullies, ravines, and brushy areas.

People who would like to volunteer to search can contact the Abby and Jennifer Recovery Center at (970) 244-3280.

On Nov. 13, Michael Blagg reported that he found a pool of blood on Jennifer's bed and both his wife and daughter missing. The family van was still in the garage and considered evidence in their disappearance.

Authorities have said they don't believe a stranger is responsible for the mother and daughter's disappearances.

Sheriff's investigators have traveled to Arizona, California, South Carolina, and Texas to interview the Blaggs' former neighbors, friends, and relatives in connection with the missing persons case.
