CLEAR CREEK COUNTY, Colo. -- The search for a missing hiker near Echo Lake Lodge ended Sunday when the man's body was found, Alpine Rescue Team officials said.

Lawrence Gang, 53, was reported overdue when he didn't return Saturday when he was scheduled to, officials said.

Search teams began looking for Gang early Sunday morning about 11 miles up Highway 5 from the base of Echo Lake Lodge near Mount Evans, said Bill Barwick of the Alpine Rescue Team.

Gang went hiking Friday morning up Mount Bierstadt in Clear Creek County and was supposed to return Saturday, Barwick said.

Searchers focused on the area between Mount Evans and Mount Bierstadt.
