The following is a list of communities and their activities for the July Fourth holiday. We will keep this list updated. If you have further information to add to this list, or see a correction that needs to be made, please send an e-mail to newstips@TheDenverChannel.com.

Most firework displays are on MONDAY, July 4, 2011, unless otherwise noted.

2011 Independence Day Celebrations

ALAMOSA
  • Fireworks begin at dark at Alamosa Fairgrounds on July 4 when it gets dark, about 9 p.m. Join the Alamosa community in this good, old-fashioned down home celebration. Pancake breakfast, parade, activities, and fireworks. Learn more by calling 719-589-3681.

ARVADA
  • Fireworks kick off at night (at about 9 p.m.) on July 4th at the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex located just west of Kipling on W. 58th Avenue. Show lasts about 25 minutes. The fireworks are set to a musical simulcast on KOOL 105.1. Festivities begin at 3 p.m. Call 720-898-7400, or go to Arvada.org for more information. There will be lots of family fun which include a Kids Park with obstacle course, games, car show, temporary tattoos, food concessions, and entertainment all day. KOOL 105 will be hosting a classic car show. Parking will be on a first-come first-serve basis beginning at 2 p.m. No parking will be allowed on Kipling Street. Please remember that fireworks, alcohol and pets are not allowed in the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex.

ASPEN
  • Aspen/Snowmass plans to celebrate Independence Day the “Old Fashioned” way on July 4th. The schedule of events for Aspen’s Old Fashioned Fourth of July includes an outdoor market, antique and arts fair, a parade down Main Street, picnics and even more concerts. All of the excitement concludes with a fireworks extravaganza over Aspen Mountain when the sun goes down. Details can be found at AspenChamber.org

AURORA
  • Fireworks will be launched 9:30 p.m. on July 4, on the west side the Aurora Municipal Center lawn and can be viewed within a two mile radius. Fireworks will be 25 minutes long and patriotic music will be simulcast on 1430 KEZW. The fireworks also may be viewed from surrounding areas. Best viewing locations include east of Potomac Street, south of Sixth Avenue, north of Mississippi Avenue and west of Buckley Road. In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled and not rescheduled.

AVON
  • At 9:45 p.m. SUNDAY, July 3, fireworks will be launched over beautiful Nottingham Lake. The fireworks extravaganza is choreographed to a musical score simulcast on 97.7 KZYR. Kids events begin at 5 p.m. To learn more about Avon's Salute to the USA, call 970-748-4060 or go to avon.org

BASALT
  • Fireworks will begin at sundown, about 9:30 p.m. and will be shot from the Roaring Fork Club, visible from any location in the city..

BLACK HAWK
  • Fireworks will begin at sundown, about 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a night of gaming, dining and fireworks at historic Black Hawk. You can watch at any point in Black Hawk and the show will last about 30 minutes. More info at CityofBlackHawk.org or call 303-582-2292.

BOULDER
  • Fireworks spectacular at Folsom Field at the University of Colorado with Ralphie's Independence Day Blast. Fireworks, choreographed to live music, begin at 9:30 p.m. Gates open at 8 p.m. and program begins at 8:30 p.m. Admission to the fireworks display is free. BRECKENRIDGE
  • Fireworks on July 4th. Fireworks display at the Riverwalk Center at 9:30 p.m., following a National Repertory Orchestra 4th of July Patriotic Concert at 8:30 p.m. Prior to that the Firecracker 50 bike race, designated as the USA Cycling Marathon Mountain Biking National Championships, kicks off the Main Street parade. . BRIGHTON
  • Fireworks at Friendship Park on 8th and Southern St. on July 4. We will "Brighten the Brighton" sky at 9 p.m. Come at 6 p.m. and enjoy the music, concessions and other activities in the park. For more information, call the event hotline: (720) 685-7339. Learn more at BrightonCo.gov

BROOMFIELD
  • Great American Picnic and Fireworks Extravaganza will be held at Broomfield County Commons, located at 132nd and Sheridan on July 4. We start our celebration at 6:30 p.m. with children's entertainment and carnival games. At 7 p.m. enjoy a free concert. Bring your picnic dinner or enjoy a hot dog grilled to perfection for a minimal cost at the park. After the concert, at dusk, the fireworks display begins, approximately 9:15 p.m. at the Broomfield Commons. For additional information, call (303)-464-5530 or visit broomfield.org/events.

BRUSH
  • Fireworks at the Brush Pro-State Rodeo on July 4. For more info call 970-842-5001 or go to BrushColo.com. Morgan County Fairgrounds at 718 Ellsworth St. Brush Rodeo is a three-day event from July 2-July 4.

BUENA VISTA
  • The Fourth of July parade will begin at 10 a.m. on East Main Street.Fireworks will begin at the Rodeo grounds on County Road 321 at dusk. For more information call (719) 395-6612 or go to Buena Vista Chamber of Commerce .

BYERS
  • The Byers Park and Recreational District in Byers will have a fireworks display at the Quint Valley Fairgrounds, following the rode.

CANON CITY
  • There is a July 4th celebration at the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, with a 21-black powder gun salute and the Geezers band playing. No fireworks at the Gorge but fireworks can be seen from Skyline Drive.
  • Fireworks will be shot on top of Skyline Drive -- a panoramic view of Canon City. People start congregating at Pueblo Community College - Fremont Campus on Highway 50. There will be a live band and free watermelon. Fireworks start at 9 p.m. Contact the city's Chamber of Commerce office at (719)-275-2331 for more information.

CARBONDALE
  • Independence Day Celebration on July 4. There will be a parade, family activities, BBQ, and kids activities. Fireworks will begin at 9:15 p.m. at North Face Park. To learn more, go to http://www.carbondalegov.org/ and click on Events.

CASTLE ROCK
  • There will be fireworks on SUNDAY, July 3, at 9:45 p.m. at the NEW Rocky Mountain Freedom Festival at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.Festival from July 1 to 3. With three fun-filled days of live music on two stages, 90+ arts and craft vendors, a HUGE carnival and midway, beer garden, a spectacular fireworks show and a Kansas City BBQ Society sanctioned BBQ cook-off. Admission to the Festival for adults is $5 per day or $10 for a three-day pass. Seniors 60+, kids five and under and those with a valid Military ID are free. The event will be open Friday, July 1 from 5 to 11 p.m., Saturday, July 2 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday, July 3 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will be plenty of free parking for those attending the event.   • The Meadows neighborhood will host its 4th of July party at Metzler Ranch Park, 4175 Trail Boss Road, on July 4. It's a holiday helping of family fun with kids events, live entertainment and of course, a fireworks show. The fun starts at 6 p.m. and ends with a fireworks show at 9 p.m. The best view will be from within the park, 4175 Trail Boss Road, though other areas with views of the park also will have views of the fireworks. The display will last about a half-hour. The website for the event is the website for the Town of Castle Rock.

COLORADO SPRINGS
  • The city of Colorado Springs is joining Peterson Air Force Base, Schriever Air Force Base and the Air Force Academy to host fireworks at the the Air Force Academy's Falcon stadium. Celebrations are on July 4. The celebration is open to the public and the event is free. Gates will open at 4 p.m. Events start with bouncy houses and the Austin Healey Car Show, which will run 4-8 p.m. Music will be provided by the Colorado Springs Philharmonic at 7 p.m. and the Air Force Academy Band at 8 p.m. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking available at and near the Cadet Field House. Parking will be extremely limited, so carpooling is strongly encouraged. All visitors should enter the Academy through the North Gate, exit 156B. Due to expected record-level attendance, people should arrive early. The Colorado Springs Philharmonic will perform at the academy before a 9:30 p.m. fireworks display. The academy expects as many as 50,000 people to attend the event, which they say will be the biggest in town. In the event of inclement weather, the celebration may be cancelled. Visitors can bring cameras, lawn chairs, blankets, umbrellas, and sealed plastic water bottles. But, visitors cannot bring coolers, alcohol, barbecue grills, pets other than working service dogs, or fireworks. Learn more at USAFA.af.mil.

COMMERCE CITY
  • On SUNDAY, July 3, the fireworks will start after the Rapids game at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The Colorado Rapids v. Houston Dynamo MLS game begins at 7 p.m. Tickets ($17) are required to enter stadium. The fireworks display will be choreographed to patriotic music simulcast over 92.5 The Wolf. Get to the stadium early for the free pregame “4thFest” festival at the stadium, featuring food, interactive elements, family activities and live bands! Parking lots around the stadium open at 4 p.m. Parking will not be allowed along Quebec Parkway, 56th Avenue or the frontage road. While there will be no shuttle service available, there will be more than 100 parking spaces for guests with disabilities available on a first-come, first-served basis. COMO
  • Fireworks have been canceled due to the fire danger.

COPPER MOUNTAIN
  • There will be fireworks over West Lake on SATURDAY, July 2, at 9 p.m. as part of Copper’s 3 Ring Weekend. More information at 3ringweekend.com.

CORTEZ
  • Fireworks in Parque de Vida, Cortez with food and craft vendors, and activities from 11am to 8:30pm. Fireworks begin at 9pm. Hosted by the Cortez Rotary. CREEDE
  • Festivities begin with a parade down Main Street at 10 am on the 4th, followed by games at the Ball Park. The Days of ‘92 Mining Competitions provide plenty of family fun throughout the day on both July 3 and July 4. Competitors from Colorado and surrounding states compete in hard rock mining related events. The Fireworks' Show will be at dark at the North end of the City of Creede high up on Inspiration Point. CRESTED BUTTE
  • Fireworks will be on SUNDAY, July 3 AND MONDAY, July 4. Fireworks on Sunday will be presented by the town of Crested Butte and fireworks on Monday will be presented by town of Mt. Crested Butte, with fireworks shot off from the base area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort at 9:20 p.m. On Sunday, there are also fireworks at Jorgensen Park in Gunnison. The Independence Day celebration begins on Friday and ends on Sunday. CRIPPLE CREEK
  • Residents of the gold camp have always loved to celebrate the Fourth of July. Put on by Cripple Creek Fire Dept., the town will showcase a massive fireworks display, beginning at dark, choreographed to music. It will held at City Park and admission is free. DEER TRAIL
  • Deer Trail is one community that puts on a great display. The fireworks will begin at dusk on Saturday, July 2 at the Rodeo grounds in connection with the demolition derby. Call 303-769-4464 for more information.

DELTA
  • On July 4th, there will be the Delta city fireworks which are set to go off at dusk at Confluence Park.

DENVER
  • In Denver, you can see fireworks on July 1, July 2, July 3 and July 4! Below are the order of the fireworks displays, by date:
    • Fireworks at Coors Field after the Colorado Rockies' evening games against the Kansas City Royals. The games and fireworks are on FRIDAY, July 1, and SATURDAY, July 2. Tickets required. For more information call (800) 388-7625 or 303-762-5437 or go to ColoradoRockies.com.
    • Fireworks and Colorado Symphony Concert at Civic Center Park on SUNDAY, July 3 at 8 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Lawn seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis; blankets or low-rise concert/beach chairs are encouraged. Attendees are welcome to bring their own picnics; concessions will also be present on-site. In the event of rain, the concert may have a delayed start or be canceled – but the fireworks will continue at 9:15 p.m.
    • Fireworks at Invesco Field at Mile High on SUNDAY, July 3 following Outlaws Lacrosse game. It's the coolest close-proximity show you'll ever see. Fireworks within the bowl at INVESCO Field provide an experience of pyrotechnics paired with a music video tribute on the stadium's 97 foot wide THUNDERVISION screen.   • Blues Traveler, Matisyahu and Toad the Wet Sprocket concert on July 4 begins at 6 p.m. Red Rocks provides a good view of the fireworks show downtown. For more information go to RedRocksOnline.com
  • The 18th Annual Cherry Creek Arts Festival will be taking place July 1-3. The arts festival weekend event is a world-class and award-winning celebration of the visual, culinary and performing arts. The CCAF is located in Denver’s Cherry Creek North Business District, from 2nd to 3rd, on the six streets starting on Clayton through Steele. Learn more info at CherryArts.org.

DILLON
  • On SATURDAY, July 2: “Never Forget Our Soldiers” – An Evening of Tribute at Dillon Amphitheatre. Don’t miss the annual tribute to our service men and women. A concert by the Air Force Academy Band will follow. The evening will end with an amazing fireworks show over Lake Dillon, choreographed to music and simulcast on Krystal 93!
  • On July 4, enjoy music starting with the National Repertory Orchestra in the morning followed by old fashioned 4th of July events starting at noon at Town Park with the children’s bike parade, a BOCCE tournament, pie eating contests, watermelon eating contests and more followed by Dillon’s boat parade on the shores of Lake Dillon. Top off the evening at the Amphitheatre with a concert featuring a traditional USO show and evening fireworks displayed over Frisco Bay.

DURANGO
  • The fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m. at the cemetery on the Fourth of July. You'll be able to see the show in Historic downtown.

EDGEWATER
  • Fireworks will be set off on SUNDAY July 3 at Citizens Park at 24th and Chase St. Music begins at 7:30 p.m. Vendors will begin serving drinks and food at 4 p.m. Fireworks will begin around 8:30 or 9 p.m. For more information, go to www.edgewaterco.com or call 303-238-7803 ext. 128.

ENGLEWOOD
  • Fireworks display will be launched from the baseball fields at Cornerstone Park at 9:30 p.m. on July 4th and can be seen from Belleview, Progress and Cornerstone Parks. ERIE
  • Fireworks wil be shot off at Denver Colorado National Golf Club on SUNDAY, July 3. It is FREE. Make sure to be a part of Colorado National's annual July 3rd Extravaganza! Many vendors will be here for you to enjoy, and do not forget about the largest fireworks display on the Front Range. The fireworks are shot from the golf course and the driving range becomes the sitting area. ESTES PARK
  • Independence Day Fireworks. One of Colorado's most brilliant fireworks displays over Lake Estes. The event is free and will begin at 9:30 p.m. contact the Estes Park Conference and Visitors Center at 970-577-9900 or visit VisitEstesPark. Estes Park also has a car show at 10 a.m. at Bond's Park, and a patriotic music concert at Performance Park Amphitheater at 7 p.m.

FAIRPLAY
  • Fireworks on July 3rd have been canceled due to the fire danger.

FIRESTONE
  • 4th At Firestone will be held on July 4th ends with fireworks launched from Saddleback Golf Course at 9:45 p.m.. The event will feature a parade with over 60 entries, vendor and craft exhibitors, a carnival with Crabtree Amusements from July 2-4th, Free live music, prizes, and one of the best fireworks displays in the area by Tri-State Fireworks. FLAGLER
    The town of Flagler will begin fireworks at dusk on July 4 at Mossland Memorial Golf Course. Just sit back and enjoy the fireworks show overlooking the lake on the course at dusk. The golf course will be open all day if you are interested in playing round of golf. Meals will be available at the club house.

FORT CARSON
  • The Celebration will occur SUNDAY, July 3, beginning at 4 p.m. at Ironhorse Park. The event includes many family-oriented activities to include arts and crafts and big-air jumpers for children, food vendors and musical entertainment by the New Sensation Band. Fireworks will be set to music by the 4th Infantry Division Band. Attendees over the age of 18 must present a federal or state issued photo ID and proof of vehicle registration and insurance. Visitors should enter through Gate 1, off State Highway 115. Besides service animals, no pets are allowed. Weapons, glass bottles and backpacks also are prohibited. FORT COLLINS
  • Fireworks will be shot over Sheldon Lake at dusk (approximately 9:30 p.m.) at City Park, located at 1599 City Park Drive. Transport buses will be offering free rides to and from City Park for the fireworks. They can be caught at the Downtown Transit Center and at the CSU Moby Arena. The buses will begin at 5:30pm and will conclude at 10:30pm. July 4th will kick off in Old Town Square and Civic Center Park at 11 a.m. with petting zoos, live music all day, beer gardens, wagon rides, and much much more! FORT LUPTON
  • Fireworks begin at dusk on July 4. The display will take place south of the Safeway Complex and east of the community recreation center. There will be parking nearby. For more information call 303-857-6694.

FRASER
  • Display will begin at dusk on July 4 at the Fraser Sports Complex which is 1/2 mile north of Fraser at 220 County Road 514. Activities include barbecue, horseshoe tournament, live music, kids activities and much more, starting at 3 p.m. Call (800) 903-7275 or 970-726-4118, or click here for more information.

FRISCO
  • Frisco's Fabulous Fireworks are set to go off at 9:30 p.m. on July 4th over Lake Dillon, with best views at Frisco Bay Marina with a simulcast on Krystal 93.9 FM. GEORGETOWN
  • Georgetown offers a great firework experience on July 4th at dusk. View the show from Georgetown Lake or City Park. There's always plenty of room and plenty of parking. Take I-70, exit 228. Go to ClearCreekCounty.org.

GLENDALE
  • Fireworks are scheduled for SATURDAY, July 2nd at 9 p.m. In case of a rainout the fireworks will be done on July 3. The fireworks are shot off at Creekside Park, at E. Virginia Ave. and S. GLENWOOD SPRINGS
  • Fireworks on July 4. The City of Glenwood Springs and Symphony in the Valley celebrate the 4th of July with a free concert of patriotic and Americana music at the band shell in Two Rivers Park, followed by a fantastic fireworks display, with the best views from Two Rivers Park and the nearby pedestrian bridge, weather and conditions permitting. GOLDEN
  • Fireworks begin around 9:30 p.m. on July 4 at Lions Park, located 10th and Maple Streets. The Golden Lions Club will sponsor the day's activities at Lions Park. Park in the outlying parking lots to avoid the congestion on 10th St. after the fireworks. Entertainment will be provided all day from various bands. GOODLAND, KANSAS
  • The City of Goodland will host Freedom Fest on the 4th of July, 2010. The event will feature a professional fireworks extravaganza, contests, food, carnival rides, musical entertainment and events for everyone. The event will take place at the Sherman County Fairgrounds.

GRANBY
  • Fireworks over the rodeo grounds on SATURDAY and SUNDAY July 2 and July 3 after the rodeo. It can be seen best from the rodeo grounds but you can park comfortably from many areas nearby and see the amazing display. Granby will host the "largest small town parade" according to Granby's Chamber of Commerce beginning at 10:30 a.m. on July 4. To learn more go to GranbyChamber.com

GRAND LAKE
  • July 4--Grand Lake FIREWORKS EXTRAVAGANZA- Lakefront at dark. For more information call the Grand Lake Chamber 970-627-3402. Or go to GrandLakeChamber.com.

GREELEY
  • Greeley Independence Stampede -- a Rodeo and Western Celebration. There will be fireworks following the concert at Island Grove Park on July 4th. For more information call (800) 982-BULL or log onto GreeleyStampede.org.

GREEN VALLEY RANCH
  • Fireworks on July 4 at the Amphitheater and Plaza at Oakwood Homes area. There will be food, live music and fun. To learn more, go to GVRCO.com or call 303-595-8747.

GUNNISON
  • Fireworks will go off at dusk at Jorgensen Park on July 4th. Fun activities and events will take place at downtown Gunnison along with food and vendors. Fireworks can be best viewed from Jorgensen Park and Legion Park. HIGHLANDS RANCH
  • Fireworks will set off at 9:15 p.m. at the Intersection of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Blake Drive on the 4th. Festivities at the Town Center include music, games, food, beer and a pet-adoption fair. A concert with the Cruisin' Cats is at 7 p.m. in Civic Green Park. For more information call 303-791-2500. HOLYOKE
  • Fourth of July Fireworks are going to be at Holyoke City Park at Hwy 385 and Johnson Street starting at dusk.

IDAHO SPRINGS
  • The Old Fashioned 4th of July will take place on July 4th. There will fireworks over Bridal Veil Falls and Charlie Tayler Waterwheel around 9 p.m. For more information, go to ClearCreekCounty.org

INDIAN HILLS
  • The Indian Hills Fire Rescue will host a July 4th Celebration with fireworks at dusk (weather permitting), approximately 9:20 p.m. Stage show at 6 p.m. at the helipad, with entertainment and bands. KEYSTONE
  • This year's firework display will be held at Keystone Lakeside Village at 9 p.m. Prior to the display there will be music and other entertainment including food, beverages and kid's activities. For more information call 970.468.8945 or go to Keystoneresort.com.

Live Music, BBQ and a spectacular Fireworks show from on top of our Kremmling Cliffs. Festivities begin at 6pm.

KREMMLING
  • Fire Up the Cliffs 4th of July Celebration – Live Music, BBQ and fireworks. Activities begin at 6 p.m. in the Kremmling Town Square and the fireworks will light up the Kremmling landmark cliffs at dark. Please leave your pets at home. Admission to the event and fireworks is free. All activities and excellent firework viewing takes place in Town Square Park.   • Independence Day festivities on Monday, July 4, will begin at 9 a.m. with the Firecracker 5K. Registration will be available prior to the race at the Lake County Courthouse at 505 Harrison Ave. At 10 a.m., the annual July Fourth Parade will take place on Harrison Ave., Leadville’s main thoroughfare. The fun will continue throughout the day with an open house and barbecue at the Leadville Lake County Airport, a barbecue at the Fire Department, and another ice cream social at The Delaware Hotel from 1 to 3 p.m. There will be children’s games and a community picnic at the Lake County High School field in the evening, followed by the Tony Hren Memorial Fireworks Display, sponsored by the Leadville Lions Club, at dusk.

  • Ouray, Colorado will have its huge annual fireworks display just after dusk on July 4th. Launched from just above the town on the first southern switchback of Hwy 550, viewers have a canopy of explosions overhead paired with the canyon-created echoes of the bursts. STEAMBOAT SPRINGS
  • One of the largest displays in the state, the breathtaking fireworks at historic Howelsen Hill on July 4th are a Steamboat tradition. Anyone can get front row seats at the base of Howelsen Hill for the exciting show, which starts at roughly 9:00pm. Steamboat’s busy weekend doesn’t stop there. Cowboys’ Roundup Days, which celebrates the Yampa Valley’s Western heritage, features amusement for all ages, such as a community all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast, the annual parade down Lincoln Avenue, a Pioneer Days Block Party with a free community concert and root beer floats for the kids, and the Pro Rodeo Series. The weekend festivities also include an authentic cattle drive, where local ranchers will drive 100 cattle from their ranch down Lincoln Avenue to Romick Arena. A free concert by The Nacho Men starts at 7 pm followed by fireworks at 9:15 pm. Parking is VERY LIMITED. Use the FREE shuttle bus from many locations in the Westminster/Hyland Hills area. Wiggins
  • The Blowout parade starts at 11:30 a.m., with entrants coming north on Main Street from the Catholic church, then going east on Second Avenue and south on Dickson Street. The festival in town park will begin at noon and continue until it is time for fireworks. Festivities will include electronic video games, carnival games, a water slide and bouncing houses for the kids. Crafts booths will offer a variety of products, and visitors can buy food at booths. Visitors can enjoy live music by Unleashed, a rock band, from 4 to 8 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk at the Wiggins High School football field, and some roads around that will be closed.

WINDSOR
  • Concert and fireworks on July 4 at Windsor Lake, with best viewing at/near Boardwalk Community Park at 100 N. 5th Street. The concert starts at 7 p.m. with fireworks at 9:30 p.m.

WINTER PARK
