Victim's Teenage Daughter May Be Headed For Denver, Police Say

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. -- Authorities in Nebraska said the teenage daughter of a North Platte woman is a person of interest in the brutal slaying of the woman and her 5-year-old daughter. They also said the teen may be on her way to Denver.Police were called to an apartment in North Platte late Thursday night, where they found the bodies of Lori Solie and her daughter, Tiara. Both had been stabbed numerous times, The North Platte Bulletin reported Friday.A neighbor called police after hearing the Solie's dog barking. He found the front door ajar and saw the body of Lori Solie in the kitchen.
Police said their investigation revealed the two had been killed about 7 p.m. Thursday.The bodies were taken to Scottsbluff, Neb., for autopsies, according to the newspaper.Solie’s 15-year-old daughter, Alesha Ochoa, could not be located and police said she may have left North Platte with a man in a black Mustang on her way to Denver. They called Ochoa one of several "persons of interest" in the investigation.The crime scene was so gruesome that the police chief ordered all officers who worked the investigation to talk to the critical incident stress debriefing team.
