A slain Lafayette woman whose decomposing body was found in a car in her garage was killed after being stabbed 18 times in her neck, the Boulder County coroner said.

Linda Damm's body was found Feb. 28, nearly a month after she'd been killed, the coroner said.

The autopsy revealed that Damm, 52, died from 18 stab wounds to her neck. The coroner, John Meyer, said Damm had a blood alcohol content level of .217 percent at the time of her death.

Damm's 15-year-old daughter, Tess Damm, was arrested in connection with her mother's death. She is charged as an adult with conspiracy to commit murder, accessory to murder and tampering with evidence.

Tess Damm is accused of helping her boyfriend, 17-year-old Brian Grove, kill Damm. Grove is charged as an adult in the case with first-degree murder, conspiracy and tampering with evidence.

Investigators said Grove admitted to choking and then stabbing Linda Damm in her home.

A third teen, 18-year-old Jared Guy, was charged as an adult as an accessory and tampering with evidence in the homicide case.

The autopsy said Damm had also been stabbed in her right leg. Police said Grove attempted to cut her leg off after she was dead to help dispose of her body.

The teens are accused of trying to dispose of Damm's body in a landfill and then in a cemetery before stashing her body in the garage.

A fourth teen, charged as a minor, pleaded guilty as an accessory to murder earlier this month. He was sentenced to two years in the Department of Youth Corrections.
